Tanko ("we", "our", or "the App") is a private offline fitness journal designed to help you record workouts, meals, progress notes, photos, and personal fitness memories.
Tanko follows a local-first privacy design. Your journal information is stored on your device and is not uploaded to our servers.
Tanko stores only information that you choose to create inside the application.
Tanko allows you to customize a local profile stored only on your device:
Tanko includes optional built-in sample posts and demo personas for feature demonstration.
These samples are fictional and do not represent real users or information collected from other people.
Information stored in Tanko is used only to provide application functionality, including:
Tanko does not sell, rent, or share your personal journal information with advertisers or third parties.
Tanko is designed as a fully offline application after installation.
Your journal entries, photos, generated cards, local profile settings, and points balance are stored locally on your device.
Tanko does not provide or use:
Tanko may request access to your device camera when you choose to capture photos for your personal journal.
Camera access is only used for features initiated by you.
Tanko does not access your camera in the background.
Tanko may request access to your Photos library when you choose to select images or export generated cards.
Photo access is used only for:
Tanko does not automatically scan, upload, or analyze your photo library.
Tanko may support optional voice notes.
Microphone permission is requested only when you actively choose to record audio.
Recorded audio is used only as part of your private journal experience.
Tanko may request notification permission to provide optional fitness journal reminders.
Notifications are only used to support your personal routine and can be disabled anytime in iOS Settings.
Tanko does not require tracking permission to provide core functionality.
If App Tracking Transparency permission is presented, it will only be requested according to Apple's requirements and only with your permission.
You can manage tracking preferences through your device settings.
Tanko provides optional consumable In-App Purchases that add points used for generating additional Tag, Week, and Month cards.
Points are consumable digital goods processed through Apple's App Store payment system.
Because Tanko stores information locally on your device, your device security settings help protect your journal data.
We recommend:
Tanko does not transmit your private journal database to external servers.
You can delete your journal information through features provided inside Tanko.
You may also remove Tanko from your device using standard iOS app deletion methods.
Because Tanko does not operate an online account system, there is no remote account deletion process.
Tanko is not designed specifically for children.
Tanko does not knowingly collect personal information from children through online services because the application does not operate an online data collection platform.
Tanko does not integrate with third-party social networks, advertising networks, analytics platforms, or external user databases.
Apple may process payments and system permissions according to Apple's own privacy policies.
Tanko is designed to respect privacy principles applicable to users around the world.
Because Tanko stores information locally and does not operate an online account system, most personal information remains under your control on your own device.
Users may have additional rights depending on their location, including rights provided by applicable privacy laws such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

Tanko may include built-in sample posts and fictional demo personas when first launched.
These items are included only to demonstrate application features and provide inspiration for creating your own journal.

Removing demo data does not delete your personal journal entries, generated cards, or purchased points.
We may update this Privacy Policy when Tanko features change or when legal requirements require updates.
The updated version will always be made available through the application or associated App Store information.
